FamCentsPrivacy Policy
In short
FamCents does not collect any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and FamCents has no analytics of its own.
Data you enter
Your transactions, categories, budgets, notes and settings are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. We do not run a server for this app and cannot see, access or sell your data.
Backups and exports
Backup files, CSV exports and Excel reports are created only when you tap the button, and you choose where to save or send them (for example iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email). Once saved there, the privacy policy of that service applies. Your phone’s own backups (iCloud or Google) may include the app’s data, depending on your phone settings.
Voice entry and receipt scanning
When you add a transaction by voice, your phone’s own speech recognition (Apple or Google) turns your words into text. Where the phone supports it, this happens entirely on the device; otherwise the audio is processed by Apple or Google under their privacy policies. Receipt photos are read on your phone and are not uploaded or stored by the app. On Android, receipts are read by Google’s ML Kit, which sends anonymous diagnostics to Google (such as device model, OS and app version, performance and error data, and a random per-installation ID), but never the receipt image or its text. FamCents only uses the microphone and camera while you are using these features.
Sharing with your partner
When you use “Share with partner”, the app creates a file with your FamCents data and you choose how to send it (for example AirDrop, a messaging app or email). It goes only to the person you send it to; there is no FamCents server in between. The service you use to send it may handle it under its own privacy policy. With “Sync both ways automatically”, the two iPhones also connect directly to each other (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth) to send the data back; this needs the Local Network permission.
Face ID, fingerprint and passcode
The app lock uses your phone’s built-in authentication. Your face, fingerprint or passcode is checked by the phone itself; the app only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
Notifications
Reminders and budget alerts are created on your phone. No notification server is used and no data is sent.
Purchases
FamCents Pro is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They process the payment; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks the store whether Pro has been purchased on your account.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
Your rights and deleting your data
Because your data never leaves your device, you are always in control: you can delete everything at any time with Settings → Erase all data, or by uninstalling the app. We hold no copy of your data that could be accessed, corrected or deleted on request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published in the app and on this page with a new effective date.
