FamCentsTerms of Use
These terms apply to the FamCents app (“the app”) and FamCents Pro. FamCents is developed by [developer name, address] (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.
1. The app
FamCents helps you keep track of your own and your family’s expenses. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
2. Your data and backups
Your data is stored on your device, not on our servers (we don’t have any for the app). You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for making backups. We can’t recover data that is lost, for example when a phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled without a backup. See the privacy policy for details.
3. Sharing with your partner
When you share your data with another person, you decide what you send and to whom. Only share with people you trust. Synchronization merges data from both phones; if the same entry was changed on both, the most recent change is kept. You can undo the last sync on your phone.
4. FamCents Pro
FamCents Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the Pro features described in the app at the time of purchase. It is not a subscription. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; refund requests go to them. On iPhone, Pro can be shared with your Apple Family Sharing group. You can restore Pro on a new device with the same store account (“Restore purchase”).
The free features of the app stay free. We may add, change or remove Pro features over time; anything you bought keeps working as long as the app is available, and we won’t charge you again for Pro.
5. Founding member offer
Everyone who first gets the app before the date shown in the app and the store listing receives FamCents Pro free for life, without payment. On iPhone, the App Store’s record of your first download is used, so it returns after reinstalling. On Android, the status is stored on your device and in your FamCents backups; to keep it on a new phone, restore a backup. The offer has no cash value and can’t be transferred.
6. Not financial advice
FamCents is a tool for recording and viewing your spending. It does not give financial, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your financial decisions. Figures in the app depend on what you enter.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app reliable but can’t guarantee it will always be free of errors or available on every device. We may update the app and these terms; important changes will be announced in the app or on this page, with a new effective date.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is”, and our liability for any damage related to its use is limited to the amount you paid for FamCents Pro. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or liability that can’t be limited by law (for example for intent or gross negligence).
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Romania, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. EU consumers can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
